| Aldhizer, James Francis-Pvt. Co. B -44th Va. Br. 1838, age 23. Thompson's Crossroads Louisa Co. Va. Farmer. Enl. 6/3/61 at Lacy's Shop Goochland Co. Absent -furlough from Staunton 7/8/61. Present 11/12/61, through 11/12/63. Wounded at McDowell 5/8/62 and at the Wilderness 5/5/64, in left arm at Chimbroza Hospital, Richmond Va. 5/64. And furloughed 60 days 5/27/64. Ordered to light duty in Lynchburg 2/27/65. Assistant invalid corps 3/15/65, paroled Columbia 1865.Recorde a pension in Goochland Co. Va. 1888. States he is 50 yrs. Old. His wife Clemenza filed for his pension in 1909. It states on his pension that he has partial disuse of his left arm, fracture of bone. He was struck by a minnie ball during the battle of the Wilderness. It states he was wounded and maimed during the late war while serving as a soldier. He can not do manual labor. Filed application for artificial limb in 1884. |
