The Aldhizer Family Coat-of-Arms is recorded by J.B. Rietstap in his General Armory, the continental authority of heraldry.  Colors represent the characteristics of the bearer of the Arms.  Silver-peace and sincerity.   Black-constancy.  Charges upon the shield are marks of distinction.  The chevron with a red one on it is for high esteem.  The griffins are for ferocity.   The cottages signify home and life.   The helmet is an emblem of noble knight-hood.  The Crest is a special honor assumed by the knight as a distinguishing mark of prowess, and as a rallying point for his followers.
